The sea lights up at night.
Twenty minutes east at Falmouth, the Luminous Lagoon holds one of the last great colonies of glowing plankton on the planet. Trail a hand through the black water and it flares electric blue; slip in off the boat and you swim in your own light. Go on a moonless night for the brightest show.
Reef below, rum on deck.
Doctor’s Cave shelves into water so clear it barely counts as swimming, and the catamarans know exactly where the good reef sits. Snorkel the wall, cliff-jump off the boat, then let the open bar handle the sail back to the Hip Strip.
The jungle end of the day.
Behind the resorts the island climbs fast into bush and red dirt. Gun a quad through the mud, zip the canopy at Mystic Mountain, or ride a horse into the surf at the finish. Bring shoes you do not mind wrecking.

Rose Hall stands white and grand above the coast road, restored to the last mahogany rail, with the legend of Annie Palmer, the White Witch, still walking its stairs after dark. Come for the Georgian rooms and the sea view, and stay for the story the guides tell far too well.
